Parking at Athens Airport
Athens Airport runs three public car parks. P1 and P2 are the multi-storey and surface car parks directly opposite the terminal, a covered walk from departures, and are priced for hours rather than days. P3 is the long-stay car park further along the access road, connected by a free shuttle bus every few minutes, and is where a car should go for anything beyond a weekend.
Booking online in advance is cheaper than the drive-up rate for long stays, and it is the only way to be sure of a space at P3 around Easter, August and the Christmas holidays, when Athenians fly out in numbers.
Parking rates
Short-stay rates apply at P1 and P2 and climb steeply after the first few hours, which is deliberate: the airport wants those spaces turning over. Long-stay P3 is priced per day with a weekly cap. The figures below are indicative; the operator publishes the current tariff and online discounts on its website and at the car park entrances.

Drop-off and pick-up
The departures level has a dedicated drop-off road where stopping is limited to a couple of minutes and enforced by the airport police; the arrivals level has no waiting zone at all. To collect someone, park in P1 or P2 (the first 20 minutes are free) and meet them in the arrivals hall, where every flight is announced on the boards.

Off-airport and valet parking
Several private operators along the airport approach and in Spata offer valet or shuttle parking, often at half the on-site long-stay price for a fortnight. The trade-off is time: hand-over and the shuttle add 20–30 minutes each way. Book ahead in summer, read recent reviews and photograph the car at hand-over. The airport has no involvement in these services.
